A Seed of Service
The Berean Mission Group (BMG) was founded out of a perceived need to serve the women of the church and the local community. Our beginnings may be understood as humble, and perhaps, insignificant, but based on the principles taught by our Lord in the parable of the hidden leaven: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into 50 pounds of flour until it spread through all of it."

The Nature of Yeast
It becomes obvious to any bread baker that it will take some time for a small amount of yeast to disseminate that much flour, but "the nature of yeast is to grow and change whatever it contacts." (What is the meaning of the Parable of the Leaven?/Got Questions.org)

Reaching in, up, and out
As the yeast performs its work from within, so does the kingdom of God through the work of the Holy Spirit. The BMG wishes to teach the women of our community of the Spirit's desire to REACH IN to our lives daily and ways to effect that.
REACH UP with belief in and worship of our Creator and Savior. By accepting His grace, we allow the "yeast" of transformation to be deposited in our lives, which, in time, will make us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Ultimately, the yeast will permeate the entire mass of dough, spreading out from its humble beginnings. Our desire is to REACH OUT to the women of our community in love, friendship, and fellowship.
"The Berean Mission Group has been a true blessing to our community. Their dedication and compassion are truly inspiring."
